The Simpsons is a long running animated Sit-Com produced by Fox Studios in America. It was created by Matt Groening & first aired in America in December 1989. To date there have been 447 episodes with the 21st series which began in September 2009. It tells the Stories of the Simpsons family. They are a lower middle class family consisting of Homer & Marge who are married & their three children Bart, Lisa & Maggie. They also have two pets. There was a time, not so long ago, when the Simpsons was the best thing on TV, hands down. With great storylines, deep, well-rounded and immensely likable characters and intelligent and hilarious writing it was a programme that worked on multiple levels and was mandatory viewing for the young and old alike.
