The Steve Wilkos Show

Description: American Talk Show

Trish (embarrassingly bad) & Jeremy Kyle (what can I say?). Apparently Steve Wilko used to work as part of the security team involved with Springer but to me he's much more genuine & is not afraid of interrogating & 'telling it how it is' by confronting ... more

Having been ill for the past few weeks I've been stuck at home & have watched some TV shows that I never really have the time/ inclination to view. Some of the programmes I've watched have been complete & utter c***p I have to say (how much is our TV license?!) but one of the ones I can watch without cringing is the Steve Wilko Show which is on one of the Sky channels during the day. Although I've only watched a few of these shows (bit 'samey') I must say that this a welcome change from Jerry Springer (silly) Rikki Lake (need subtitles!) Trish (embarrassingly bad) & Jeremy Kyle (what can I say?). Apparently Steve Wilko used to work as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Steve Wilkos Show: Steve Wilkos - a talk show host that takes no prisoners (542 words)

WHAT IS IT: The Steve Wilkos Show is an American talk show filmed in Chicago and hosted by Steve Wilkos who previously worked as bodyguard on The Jerry Springer show and regularly took over hosting duties whenever Jerry was not free for filming. The show is at the more outrageous end of the chat show spectrum but is a lot more serious than Jerry's show. The Steve Wilkos show deals with subjects such as drug abuse and alcoholism, child neglect, domestic violence, prostitution and paedophilia. Steve is very hard on his guests who have often done unthinkable things to friends, family members, strangers or themselves. Although most of the shows take place in the studio, ...  Read the complete review

So it finally happened. Steve Wilkos has been surgically separated from Jerry Springer's backside and has been unleashed onto an unsuspecting and, dare I say it, not so captivated audience. Unfortunately for Steve, during the operation, the surgeons seem to have left that orange skin antiseptic all over poor Steve's not so thin skin and have failed to inform him that it is supposed to be washed off, sooner rather than later.. Well, he certainly seems orange in colour to me, unless it's just me, or maybe my TV colour and contrast needs adjusting. Assuming that my TV is properly adjusted and that indeed, Steve has gone a funny shade of orange (David ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Steve Wilkos Show: Steve, Steve, Steve (311 words)

The Steve Wilkos show is another in the Jerry Springer genre. In fact you might recognise Steve from Jerry Springer as he was the head bouncer who used to have the audience chanting 'Steve, Steve, Steve' whenever he intervened in a fight. Steve then took over from Jerry for a while, whilst Jerry went off to do other projects, and it was decided that Steve should have show of his own. The Steve Wilkos show can be found on Living TV during the afternoon, and occasionally makes a welcome change from Loose Women or Dickinson's Real Deal. The basic premise of the show is the same as Jerry Springer or Jeremy Vile, people who really need to ...  Read the complete review
