The Villa is a show shown on Sky One that sends a group of singles to stay in a villa for a weekend to see if any love blossoms within the group. The show is hosted by Mark Little (Joe Mangel from Neighbours, was also a presenter of The Big Breakfast for a while) although we never see his face, we only ever have a voice over. There are thousands of applications for this show each year, as the winners who get to go on the show get a party filled holiday in a villa for free, and no doubt booze and food are included in the trip. Each show consists of four men and four women, each having been paired off with each other by a computer. They know they have been ...  Read the complete review

The Villa is an hour long programme shown on Sky One every Wednesday at 9pm during the summer, and you will find repeats at 11pm on selected nights. Thousands of people apply each year, and they have to fill in detailed questionnaires which are entered into a computer. The computer apparently matches various couples who it sees as compatible and that is how they get onto the show. They are matched on looks, interests and personality. Each week, 4 men and women meet in an airport and are taken to a villa in Spain for 5 days to see if any of them get it together. Believe it or not, it is highly watchable. They are watched 24 hours a day on 4 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Villa: A cross between Big Brother and Ibiza Uncovered (406 words)

The Villa is a fly on the wall look at how young sex mad people get on together when given a holiday in a Villa in Spain along with swimming pool and nights out. It’s a bit like big brother, but this time, they want sex badly and is basically what the show revolves around. The show is based on giving 4 women and 4 men a holiday in a Villa. The computer then matches the people into couples and basically, we watch to see if those couples are actually attracted to each other. The show is however a bit tacky, as are the camera’s. You never actually get to see what the people are doing, and if a couple take each other off somewhere, the viewer never gets ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review THE VILLA!!!! (334 words)

What a programme! Think along the lines of big brother, then put four guys and four girls in a villa for five days and nights and see if they get on. They are of course computer matched, with interests, likes, dislikes and even star signs. They are all taken off to a fab villa where the cameras are watching their moves. Normally someone hits it off when they meet at the airport. They are sent out for day events and hit the town in the night to get drunk and flirt not always with the opposite sex in the villa but sometimes with the locals. It is quite funny to see what these people will do to have a good time if you know what I mean. ...  Read the complete review
