The X factor is a show which is on every year on ITV around October time, its a reality TV show, but not one which completely takes over TV when its on! Its on every Saturday night at around 7pm, until about 2 weeks before christmas.

The show is to find the next Number 1. The show is split into 4 parts-

Auditions:

These are the first few shows, they're VERY funny and contain alot of people who are absolutley terrible but they are SOOO funny to watch!! Some people are just awful but think they're amazing which is hillarious when you see their faces drop when Simon Cowel tells them erm no lol!! The auditions are the part of the show where the hundreds and thousands of auditionees are cut down to around 100 people.

Boot Camp:

This is the next part, and personally i think its the most boring part of the show where the 100 are whittled down to 24 acts, each act performs and is told yes or no to the next stage and the judges are given their catagories (Girls, Boys, Groups, over 25s)

The Judges houses:

When the 24 acts are split into their catagorys they go to the judges houses, wherever that may be. While there, they sing for the judges for one last time before the live shows, and the judges have the hard task of cutting their 6 acts down to three.

The Live Shows:

The 3 acts in each group compete each week in live shows singing live for an audience and the public, and a phone vote determines who stays and who goes, one act is sent home each week, leaving just one in the end, who them fights for Christmas No. 1.

The Judges: This year the judges were Simon Cowel, Dani Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Lois Walsh. Simon is the harsh one as we all know!! And Cheryl is the softy!! Theres always disagreements between the four judges, and your guarenteed a good few arguements!!!

The show is great, and it created leona lewis, who is amazing!!! :-) and Alexandra Burke is looking like she's gonna be a hit...but we shall see!!!
