Advantages: Audtions
Disadvantages: Bootcamp slightly boring part of the show
The X Factor is the modern Pop Idol it was created by Simon Cowell and has now been on for a few years.
Like the other talent shows the first few episodes show the hopeful singers who come and audition in front of the judges the last series was Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh. Danni Minogue and Chreyl Cole in the past they also had Sharon Osbourne until she left the show. After singing they get put through to bootcamp.
Bootcamp then shows the contestants get whittled down again and after this the judges are given their catergries these being under 25's girls, under 25's boys, 25 and overs and finaly groups. The judges then take them to their home (although im not sure if it is really) where the judges whittled their groups down four in each catergory so in total their are 16 people who have the chance to win a million pound record deal. The live shows are then on where the contestants sing a song live each week in front of an audience and the viewers vote who they want off the show each week. When the winner is revelaed they release a song to try and get Christmas number 1 which every year since The X factor started the winner has won.
It is an entertaining show although I prefer to watch the audtions as these are always guarenteed to be funny, the bootcamp I find can be a bit repetivtive of the audtions showing the same people over and over. However the live shows are god as this is when you tend to find a favourtie you want to win and get behind to support thm, Dermet O'Leary is also quite fun to watch and Simon Cowell's put downs are always good to watch!
Overall a good show although personally I dont think they ever actualy find a winner who will stay around for good apart from Leona Lewis that is!
Summary: Good talent show

- 20/02/09 I thought this years final was good, a real Obama vibe to it when Alex won. |
