Disadvantages: sick of sob stories!

I must be one of the biggest fans of the Xfactor, as it is simply saturday night entertainment at its best!! People audition to become the next British singing sensation. They audition in front of a judging panel that this year consisted of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Danii Minogue and Cheryl Cole. In previous years Sharon Osbourne was one of the judges.

During the beginning auditions there are many hilarious auditions showcasing a ton of awfully bad singers with witty and amusingly insulting comments from the judges along with a few diamonds in the rough.

As the show goes on the rubbish is thrown out and the level of singing and talent rises. Saturday nights turn into live shows in front of an audience where the finalists fight it out each week to remain in the competition.

The show has produced talents including the incredible Leona Lewis, and other talented singers such as the 2008 winner Alex Burke.

Leona has shot to fame with a great debut album behind her and a promising future in head of her.

The show has become slightly generic and has the same format for most of the beginning episodes. The sob stories are also becomming very boring and extremely unneccessary.

Overall though the Xfactor is a great tv programme and provides saturday nights with a ton of entertainment and i hope it will still be around for many more years to come.

Summary: Cracking tv programme that without fail will entertain you and make the dullest saturday good!
