Advantages: Great comedy performances, great gags, great scripts

Disadvantages: None

The Thin Blue Line sees Rowan Atkinson leading his local force of officers trying hard to ensure order is always maintained and that crime is not a worry for the residents of Gassforth. Atkinson plays Inspector Raymond Fowler who along with officers Sergeant Patricia Dawkins (his long suffering girlfriend), Constable Goody (a young officer without a clue), Constable Habib (a young asian officer with an attitude but a brilliance which shines through) and Constable Gladstone (a Trinidad born officer who has the life experience of all of the officers) and the fantastic Detective Inspector Derreck Grim (a man who is balding, tries hard to sound like he knows what he is talking about and desperate for a promotion) and together they try to ensure that the thin blue line between justice and anarchy is maintained. This show is a brilliant piece of comedy and Atkinson puts in a magnificent performance but this is more than equaled by the cast assembled around him.

Summary: A great show and well worth a watch
