Light and easy magazine style viewing (This Morning)

This morning is a daytime TV show which has a magazine type format and as such provides easy and enjoyable viewing.

The show aims to provide viewers with a range of topics, many of which reflect up to date topics which the public may be interested in. This includes true-life stories, celebrity interviews, television and soap updates, and cookery slots.

Dr Chris Steele reguarly provides up to date medical advice and discusses the latest medical headlines, whilst well known stylists such as Jason Gardiner are given a slot to look at fashion and show the viewer the latest high street trends.

This Morning is on every weekday, Mon - Fri between 10:30 - 12:30. It is not shown during school holidays.

Currently, the presenters are Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Holly recently replaced long standing presenter Fern Britton. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Holly has failed to live up to the high standard of presenting that Fern gave to the programme. This is in part, due to the brilliant rappore that Fern and Philip had together. The original pairing made the viewers laugh along with them, and brought the programme to life. Sadly, I feel that Holly comes accross as rather flat and dull in comparison - she might have the looks but she does not have the sparkling and quick witted personality that Fern had. Fern reportedly left because her wages were less than Philip's, despite them being co-presenters. They should have met her demands and kept her as presenter in my opinion.

Overall:

An interesting and lighthearted show, that is worth watching. However, the standards of presenting have diminished a little since Fern Britton left recently.
