Thomas McDermott is arguably the sexiest of the Big Brother housemates, although Craig and Darren give him a run for his money too. When Tom first went into the house, he was very quiet, withdrawn and shy. He didn't seem to find it easy relating to the group as a whole, often taking himself off on his own. But he came out of his shell and began to open up to people, so that we soon heard all about his life on the farm in Ireland, his decisions he was trying to make about his future - and he became extremely likeable. I took an instant liking to Tom basically because I could really identify with him. Out of all the people in the Big Brother household, I am most like Tom so I can perfectly understand why he was so quiet in the early days but as he got to know the other housemates he came out of his shell. Luckily that's all he came out of as anyone who saw the red shorts incident will remember! I enjoyed watching Tom on Big Brother, he was very genuine. He had no sort of agenda, he was just there to enjoy himself and figure out what direction his life should take. Since getting out I've seen him on TV a couple of times and there's been rumours of modeling ... Read the complete review

Thomas was the quiet and reserved member of the household. Rumour has it that Big Brother had him in as the ‘Everyman’ representative – The normal guy in a house of eccentrics and extroverts. Thomas changed more noticeably than any other contestant did as the weeks passed. In the first days he barely spoke at all, conscious of his accent, but later relaxed and became far more involved. He always retained a certain thoughtfulness and introspection that set him slightly apart however. Of course, being different, set apart, is not necessarily a good thing in the BB house, and may indeed be a primary factor in his eviction. Many of the ... Read the complete review

Thomas, well he's gone now. Am I sad? No, not really. Lets list his bad points. Thomas was far too quiet to be effective in the group, he also added to his inevitable demise when he joined the growing ranks of the Melanie fan club. Ok, it was just a kiss for both of them, but Andrew's sloppy seconds none the less. On top of all this, he had a laugh to rival Caroline's, and that can't be good. And for the good points? He was the instigator for the character destruction of Nasty Nick (even though Craig takes most of the credit) which took great courage. Also the humanity he showed for our villain was applaudable. Being responsibly for ... Read the complete review

He is not just having a presentable out look but also very good hearts and manners. We can see that from the way he handled the Nicholas-two-faced issues. In addition, he never showed his angers, impatience and impoliteness (or perhaps I have missed it) during his stay in the house. I think he can be really a good friend. He really treated Nicholas a good friend. He is worried about this friend when he is out of the house because there are millions who hate him so much. He can still befriend with him. Well as I said he is a nice man. Well, he is out of the house, which really disappoint me. I thought he should be the winner. ... Read the complete review
