In the wake of ‘Star Wars,’ and with the hype surrounding Arnold Schwarzenegger’s upcoming role in a filmed version of Robert E. Howard’s ‘Conan the Barbarian,’ it’s easy to see why comic writer Steve Gerber saw a potential market for his sci-fi/fantasy cartoon creation Thundarr in 1980.
