Timmy Time is a programme on the children's channel Cbeebies. It is on during the week at am 12.30 and 3.30
What is it about?
*******************
Most adults will remember 'Shaun the Sheep' from the makers of Wallace and Gromit Aardman productions well , Timmy is a little lamb staring in his own TV series from the same company.
What Cbeebies tell you about this
*******************************
"He has just turned three (in sheep years) and being the 'only lamb in the flock', Timmy has been used to getting his own way. Now for the first time, Timmy is going to have to learn to get along with the other little animals. Timmy is going to nursery!
Timmy Time is an engaging exploration of nursery life which every pre-school aged boy and girl can relate to. In this bright, colorful, safe environment, Timmy and his animal chums learn how to make friends, create new things, paint, draw and generally learn those very important 'life lessons' from their nursery teachers, Harriet Heron and Osbourne Owl."

The episodes
***************
Each episode follows a day in the life of Timmy and his friends at nursery. Timmy is always at the heart of each story. In each episode he learns something about himself or his friends. In the same way that children do an activity at nursery such as water play with boats Timmy and his friends do one too.
Timmy's nursery school is set in some old farm buildings, nestled amongst gently rolling hills the nursery is set out in the same way that most children's own nurseries would be with a messy play area, story corner and garden.
The story in each episode is simple and to my surprise the first time I watched it told without dialogue. Instead it uses animal noises with a combination of expressive and exaggerated character animation and slapstick.
What my son thinks of this
*************************
In a nutshell he loves this. He doesn't watch a lot of TV but the time he does get interested in TV is when it features animals either in a documentary with real animals or in animated form. Hence I think why this is popular with him. The song makes him dance around the place and though I am not sure that he follows the story line as such he will often giggle at the slapstick elements of the story for example in the water play episode when a rock was thrown into the water container and got the other animals wet he was laughing and pointing at it. The different noises of the animals talking seems also to appeal to him and he does on occasions try to imitate an animal noise he has heard. Most of the times he will watch the 3.30 episode which is great for me as it means I have 10 minutes in the kitchen to set of cooking his tea so it is ready for him at 4pm!
As with most CBeebies programs the BBC website has print outs for coloring in
Overall
**************
A fun program for little ones to help them understand a bit about nursery life with a bit of good old fashioned slapstick
