Advantages: appealing to kids
Disadvantages: Annoying for adults
Noah likes TV and when I'm cooking I tend to put something on for the boys so they aren't under my feet. Since Elijah can't speak, it's Noah who gets to choose what they watch and lately he's been choosing Timmy Time.
Timmy Time is a spin off of Shaun the sheep and although it's quite hard to tell the difference between the two, Timmy is actually more baby-like. It's shown on Cbeebies and each episode lasts around ten minutes. Each episode revolves around good principals and morals like sharing and be kind.
The cast are made up of different animals including an owl, kitten, duck and others and they are all made out of the same plastercine that Wallace and Gromit are made up of.
The thing that annoys me most about the whole show is the fact that the animals don't speak at all. The viewer has to listen to various grunts and whistles throughout and it is particular frustrating to an adult. Noah on the other hand loves this and he doesn't struggle at all with what is going on because it's very easy to follow.
One thing that Noah loves about the programme is the theme tune. There is a particular line that says 'Timmy, its Timmy, he's the little lamb with a lot to do'. During the pauses within that line Timmy's big sheep head appear on the screen and says 'Baa' which is quite funny. Noah is always singing it and whenever I randomly hum it whilst I'm busy, you will always hear a 'Baa' from the other room.
This is another annoying childrens programme that will frustrate adults but the kids will love it. I do think that the females around may be able to forgive how frustrating the show is because Timmy is rather cute.
Summary: A nice little programme
