As good as it used to be? (Top Gear)

Advantages: Funny and informative!

Disadvantages: Jokes can get a bit tiresome at times!

Top Gear is a great show which comes on the BBC, which I love to watch. Presented by the infamous Jeremy Clarkson, the shorty Richard Hammond, the quirky James May and the mysterious racing driver The Stig! The four presenters have created an entertaining yet informative show which has captured a huge following not only in the UK but also worldwide.

Even though the show is now extremely different to what it used to be, and many car enthusiasts now slate the show, I still think the show still has a place in a car lover's life. Rather than just have a standard format car show which simply tests cars, Top Gear have a different format which involves the presenters using the cars in different challenges which range from the lapping the Nurburgring to making the cars into boats!

My favourite though is the Polar challenge which saw them taking a HiLux to the North Pole! A great challenge which has substance as well as some great funny bits, like James May and his alcohol!

As well as the challenges, there are also other regular features such as Power Lap board, star in a reasonably priced car and The Cool Wall.

Even though there is a lot of criticism, labelled at Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson, this is still one of the better shows on the BBC and I even find myself watching the repeats on Dave! I do however think they need to spend a bit more time reviewing the cars and cut down on the humour a little bit!

Summary: Someone tell JC to shut up!
