Top gear has been a personal favourite of mine right from its re invention by the BBC in 2002. The programme has attarcted a lot of viewers in loads of countries over the years and i have enjoyed every moment of every episode. Having said that there are two faults i have. Firstly, the guest interviews are too long, its like watching parkinson, i want to see more hijinks and motoring related challenges. They cut the challenges too short to allow 10 or 15 minutes of interview time!! The second issue i have is the number of episodes. They have steadily decreased over the years and now we are left with just 6 or 7 episodes per season, once, and in this case, no series for an entire year. I remember when we used to get a whole 12, 13 or 14 per series!!

Their reviews are great even if they are for sports cars. They should maybe do more every day cars, and talk more about what the public might be looking for, particularly for people buying a car for the first time. I absolutely love their challenges though, buying rugged old cars and setting various challenges for them. Nothing is more funny than Clarkson breaking down and having a complete paddy at the side of the road while the AA comes and wipes 5 points off his score for opening the bonet.

The show rarely deviates from the motoring aspect, apart from guest interviews which can be films or politics or pretty much anything else clarkson can get them to go on and on about... I still love theor humour, they come up with crazy antics all the time and they usually go mad over the smallest of things.

The show usually has a "news" bulletin which talks about recent motoring news such as what new cars are coming out, any company announcements from manufacturers and the presenters usually add their own jokes and stupid comments about them. I personally find it funny but very occasionally you get a few offensive comments come thorugh, the latest being about the Mexican super car. Sometimes its just light hearted humour and i believe people over react to small misplaced comments but other times i can kind of see why people would be offended.

Overall its a great show, very funny, and very enjoyable for any petrol head
