Richard Hammond has branched out from his usual spot of co-presenting on Top Gear to front this funny gameshow where contestants have to face a number of obstacles as well as each other to win a wad of cash. It started out last year with a primetime slot on BBC on a Saturday eveneing, and is basically a remake of the family favourite ... Read the complete review

As the line up of the "celebrity" version of this show has been announced in the past few days I thought it fitting to submit a review on the Saturday night version of this game show. Presented by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byran the show reminds me of a cross between "Its a knockout" and the obstacle course of ... Read the complete review

Total Wipeout is a game show on every Saturday night on BBC one. It contains commentating by Richard Hammond as he is the host of the show. Initially, there are 20 contestants who you are introduced to. It's rather like Takeshi's Castle (the Japanese game show), but in my opinion it's a bit better. The 20 contestants are narrowed down to just a ... Read the complete review

Presented by Richard Hammond, this makes for the kind of Saturday night viewing that has you cringing and cheering people on all the same. As i'm sure is the same for alot of you out there, I'm accustomed to seeing Hammond playing an active part in a role - Top Gear and Brainiac to name 2. His hair seems to have taken a life of its own, especially ... Read the complete review

Simply put this is silly and hosted by the 5 foot 7 Richard Hammond. For those wanting to know more read on... Total Wipeout is a game show (not quiz show) in which 20 contestants start and only 1 wins the prize (£10,000) after going through 4 stages of humiliation, water and dirt. For those of you familiar with Takeshi's Castle this ... Read the complete review

Total Wipeout is a highly entertaining programme the first few times you watch it, unfortunately after that it all becomes very similar and repetitive and once youve seen a fair few people fall off the assault course it becomes less and less funny. The game starts with a large number of contestants trying to complete the total wipeout ... Read the complete review

This game is hilarious the first few times you watch it, after that it becomes all a bit too samey. That would be my conclusion. Plus, plus I hate Richard Hammond - he really is a grade 'A' irritant, if I were him I'd stick to Top Gear and Morrison's advert and carry on about 'British this, British that'. Anyway, back to Total Wipeout. ... Read the complete review

My name's Clarence i'm from Enfield and i'm going to show the world how we do it OAP stylie, i'm the biggest and the best and i'm gonna pass this test. I know it sounds like a really bad Tynchie Strider feat Clarence from Enfield, however this is the kind of Ali-esque rantings, ordinary British folk are often to recite on Total Wipeout, ... Starring Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram, the show's contestants compete to win £10,000 Total Wipeout is compulsory watching in our house, mainly because my ten year old daughter is madly in love with Richard Hammond (well, what ten year old wouldn't be?) The show is a variation on the theme of the old 'It's A Knockout' and ... Read the complete review

So Total Wipeout is back on our screens after a gap of what seems like a very short amount of time. This is thanks to BBCs determination to put on repeat shows every Friday night. Then it was the best bits and finally we had the awards show. It's like it's never been away! Not that I'm complaining. Saturday night light ... Read the complete review

I vaguely remember watching Its a Knockout, water based challenges for contestants sometimes having to content with oversized giants whilst the presenters laughed uncontrollably. In a sense Total Wipeout provides some recollection on this classic period of television. What I like about this programme is that it requires low commitment ... Read the complete review

There has been one series of this game show which was shown on BBC1 on saturday evenings. I think repeats are already being shown on the BBC! The concept is similar to that of 'It's a knockout' where contestants have to complete a number of obstacle courses in the fastest time. Each show sees 20 contestants in the first round. The contestants have ... Read the complete review

Total wipeout hosted by Richard Hammond has to be one of the stupidest and at the same time funniest things to hit our TV screens. Each episode has 4 rounds, the first has 20 contestants, and is ... Read the complete review

This program seemed like it was going to be the funniest thing since 'Tekashi's Castle' - a Japanese game show where contestants made fools of themselves. Yes, in part it is, however not when every episode is the same. 'Total Wipeout' is presented by Richard Hammond, who I hadn't quite expected to see, though he offers a refreshing and ... There are two versions of Wipe Out on TV the British one that is hosted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byron, apparently Hammond was gven this as part of a sweetner to keep him on Top Gear and to match Clarkson earnings, the second version is the American one which I think is actually better mainly because the Americans are bigger idiots and more ...
