Touch The Truck (CH 5)

I caught some of the issues of this show in late March, as it was always advertised and looked a laugh. It was on for 7 days and on at 20:30 every night on channel 5. Now channel 5 has been a joke among some people, they say it is where all the crap shows seem to end up, however it did show Prisoner Cell Block H and that is the best show ever! The object of this gameshow is for one contestant to keep their hand on a truck for the longest time. There were 20 contestants that took part in the gameshow to begin with. This is ridiculous - a group of crazy people who are willing to stand up, awake, touching a truck for as long as it takes to be the last one there, then they can drive the truck away. Madness, an american must have thought of this!, I couldn't believe it wasn't a joke, but to my shock, this selection of odd characters were prepared to stand up with one hand touching the truck at all times. After i first saw the adverts for the show I thought no it cant be just touching a truck, I mean what sort of TV excecutive would let this on the TV but then i saw that it was channel 5 and everything soon made sense. I watched the first show to see how bad it could be and what bad thoughts i first thought about the show were lowered. About half way through the show everything went mad and lights flashed and bells rang and then they placed there hands on the car and then silence. Touch the truck, important points to be made on this show! This show has to be one of the worst things ever on this channel. When i heard about it i thought it would be okay, and i was mislead too. This was because the name Touch The Truck made you think a large havy goods vehicles or somethign was up for grabs but nooooo! It wasnt it was a big car - jeep or something, this was one of many things to bring this programme down hill. Channel 5 will hopefully never bring out another show likes this again if they have any sense! "Touch the truck" is one of the things - if it didn't exist, you'd have to invent it. Only, you probably couldn't... try it - get drunk for a few hours with your mates and try to come up with the most ridiculous, hilarious, mind-blowingly bizarre, tedious game show (featuring real life torture AND Dale Winton) and I bet you'd never be able to come up with "touch the truck" in a million years... Remember the old phrase used to sell countless games & puzzles in the 80's - "takes minutes to learn, a lifetime to master" - well that certainly applies here.
