Advantages: None, IF this is what we get from the "Digital Age" of Television . .

Disadvantages: What About the Children ? - Don't They Have "Human Rights" Too?

I seldom watch morning television but, as it was the college half term break,
I indulged myself
. . . laid back to enjoy it.

WRONG !

9:25 AM Trisha was at her inquiring best!
but the subject matter of the show left a lot to be desired.

She was taking to a couple, - and these particular guests were grossly ignorant;
ignorant enough to put their predilection for SEXUAL EXCESS . . .
on show, at home . . . in front of their children, . . .
on screen, on Trisha . . . in front of the nation’s children.

This type of programme may (or may not)
have a place on our screens, - AFTER ‘the watershed’

NOT at an hour when YOUNG children,
the country over, are certain to be watching!

From talking to friends, I’ve found that the subject matter of this show
has been “this near” to the edge of acceptability . . . on a regular basis . . .
come on Trisha . . .
surely there is other subject matter you could make use of ?

If not, then I suggest that those in control
take control
of Trisha and her choice of material

I’m no prude but there are limits and this show breached them,

How many others like it has Trisha got up her sleeve?
How many others are there in the pipeline, in the same mould?
How many others like it will our children be subjected to?


Do you always know what you children are watching?

I know many of you good people reading this
would never think of letting your children watch television unattended . . .
but, all it would take is one accidental press of a button on the remote control
and they would be witness to this kind of offering . . .

The TV paper I read, lists Trisha in the following manner:
9:25 Trish More Shocking True Stories

Shocking is one thing but if this is what ITV are giving us
at 9:25 AM in the morni
ng
I shudder to think what we will be getting in a couple of years time
when most of us will have twenty-odd channels to pick from .

Surely there is a case for better quality programming first thing in the morning?
(even if it means more repeats)

Surely the content of this programme cannot have come within the
regulations as laid down by the broadcasting standards people?

After all, it was nine o’clock . . .
