Trisha is a chat show which I feel is a UK version of the American chat show Rikki Lake, the set is similar, where the audience sits is similar..hell even the chairs are similar.

The Trisha show has an "an order of play" that it follows. It centers around the 1st guest coming out to tell their side of the story, e.g. a mum that is arguing with her daughter, she will proceed in telling the nation how mean her daughter treats her and such, then the daughter is brought out to stifled applause and gives her side of the story, which you will then find the audience swinging in favour of the daughter ( this is just an example of the type of topics Trisha deals with).

What usually happens is after the guests have told their stories of neglect, shame, betrayal and the like, the audience will get a chance to voice their opinion on the guests lives.

I find that the majority of the audience that speak out only actually do so to give a great one liner that is better than the last person, then sits down feeling very pleased with themselves to a congratulatory applause.Meanwhile the guests sit there wondering when their 15 mins of fame will continue.

I must say though that the audience partition is all part of the fun and sometimes you do get a really good comment from an audience member that makes sense and does help.

Trisha will also give advice, and she has been through a lot in the past herself, so sometimes what she says does make sense, but I can't help feeling that some of the advice she gives should only be given by someone qualified in that field, and in private.

Trisha also some has shows where she reunites long lost family, make sure you have your tissues handy!

The Trisha show is an easy chat show to watch, most of the stories are believable, and I am sure people at home could relate to some of the guests problems.

So go ahead watch it, but you may find yourself screaming at the
TV, giving your advice, and telling that witty audience member to sit down!!
