Advantages: Easy going telly

Disadvantages: Too tacky

I believe Trisha is an intelligent woman, and can do better than her present show. Its the sort of thing you switch on while you are doing the housework. Having said that there are some sensitive dilemmas touched on now and again apart from the family at war situation.
Anyway, I don't think the British are ready to sit in front of an audience discussing there real-life dilemmas, it works in the US, because they are a lot less conservative than us. In Kilroy no-one is sat awkwardly on the stage, all eyes upon them, Trisha pulls up a chair once in a while to help a guest settle, thats fine - she is caring person. But don't expect the audience to goad the guests as in the American versions (Ricki etc.)
I read somewhere that Trishas audiences were made up of rented students and the older members of the local community, being offered a bottle of champagne for the most 'interesting' question.

I find this show so patronising too, and the Vanessa show was equally obnoxiuos, at least Jerry can admit openly that his show is just hype and that if these people geniunly needed help they certainly wouldnt be on national TV!!!

Perhaps if they gave the Champagne to the audience BEFORE the show, things may liven up a little.
