Advantages: Good comedy sitcom

Disadvantages: Story can repeat itself

Well when I'm stuck at home in the day time, and maybe even while I'm on here writing some reviews, quite often in the background i have on Comedy Central (formely Paramount Comedy). One of the shows that's on everyday is this one. Two and a half men. Starring Charlie Sheen the comedy follows the lifes of three single guys. Well two guys and a kid.

Back in the first series Charlie was introduced to us as a rich batchelor in his early forties. He lives on the beach in Malibou, dates a string of attractive women and drinks heavily. Basically living the playboy lifestyle. Then his younger brother Alan turns up on his doorstep. Alan's wife has thrown him out and he needs somewhere to live. Alan also has a ten year old son, Jake who sometimes stays over. So that's the basic plot and the show tells of what happens when these opposite lives colide.

Were now into the forth series, Jake must be about 15, Alan is still living with Charlie and pretty much the same thing happens over and over. But this is not a bad thing. The writers keep the story quite simple, no big storylines that run and run. Just simple good comedy.

Charlie Sheen is excellent in his role, and that is probably as the character he plays is probably much like he is in real life. You can tell he has connections as there are regular cameo appearences from some of Hollywood's biggest stars. Off the top of my head I can think of Steven Tyler, Sean Penn, Terry Hatcher, Denise Richards just to name a few.

The laughs are pretty simple, toilet humor, some smutty jokes, that kind of thing. But if your happy with that you should enjoy the show. All round this is an excellent comedy sitcom. Has everything a good comedy should, does all the right things and will probably be going for a few years yet!

Summary: All round good fun
