Very watchable British cookery programme. Two Fat Ladies is still an entertaining cookery programme despite being filmed years ago. Much of the gusto behind the programme comes down to the chemistry between the two great ladies themselves. At first glance these two un PC, game loving, braying matrons would seem to have stepped out of a 1930's novel but no, they are just two true characters quite unlike anyone else on TV. Jennifer Patterson I miss you. To be sure, due to the powers of technology and electronic gizmo whizzo, I can pop in a tape I recorded of various TWO FAT LADIES cooking episodes and listen to your irreverant humor -- learning, once again, various tricks on how to cook up a meal just right, a pinch of this, a drizzle of that, and rolly rolly with the bacon around the "devil on horseback". All done with proper British aplomb, none of this health food scare tactics for Ms. Patterson - fat, cream, potatoes and meat, and be sure to pop out for cocktails, and a smoke after every meal, or beforehand too, if that suits your fancy.
