Advantages: Really funny
Disadvantages: Last two series weren't as good
Two Guys and a Girl is set in Boston and focuses on the lives of Berg and Pete, two college graduates and their friend Sharron who was a spokeswoman for a chemical company.
Cast/ Characters
Ryan Reynolds - Berg
Berg was the funny man of the group and always managed to cause problems for the group. He never really knew what to do in college and ends up working at the local pizza place (Hence the name). He eventually decides on being a doctor and ends up in an on off relationship with his colleague, Ashley before ending up with Pete's stalker, Irene.
Richard Ruccolo - Pete
Pete was the worrier of the group and always freaked out about what would happen with his career and love life. He has never been in a serious relationship but when he becomes a fire fighter, he meets Marty but then goes on to have a bit of a fling with Berg's ex, Ashley.
Traylor Howard - Sharon
Sharon is the successful one at the beginning of the show and lives with both Berg and Pete. She is very confident but can't seem to settle down with a man...until she falls for the buildings janitor, Johnny.
Some of my favourite lines over the years:
Berg: See anything you like?
Ashley: Wow, where you get that line? Because you need to give it back.
Pete: Irene, its not whether you win or lose, its how you handle never winning.
Pete: Im 25, why are you telling people im 30?
Berg: You get better presents.
Berg: Hi, my name is Berg...and im addicted to messing with Pete.
Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place first started in 1998 on the American network, ABC and ran for four years until 2002 with a total of 81 episodes. From series 3, the name changed to just Two Guys and a Girl. It used to be shown on Trouble in the UK but I don't have sky anymore so I'm not sure if it still is.
I really liked the first two series' but after that, I thought it focused too much on the three main characters' love lives instead of their hilarious antics. The only love interest that I really liked in the end was Irene, who was obsessed with Pete to begin with, as she was a bit crazy and eccentric. It was still funny but it just didn't have the same feel to it as before.
This was the first thing that I ever saw Ryan Reynolds in and I instantly fell in love with him. He was funny, cocky and arrogant all at the same time but he played a character that you couldn't help but love. Although the other characters were good, Berg was always my favourite.
This wasn't a programme that I watched every single week and because Trouble used to show re runs, I ended up watching some episodes repeatedly. The great thing about this was that each episode worked well as a stand-alone until the last two series so after that I would recommend to watch the episodes in order.
Summary: Fantastic 90's programme
