Ugly Betty

Newest Review: ... i is still easy o relate different people in you office to the characters in the programme making it relatable and almost personal and therefore more enjoyable. The mind of betty is fantastic she knows she's not pretty but really stands her moral ground through the different series. The mix of characters is hilarious and even my boyfriend who judged a book by its cover commenting that it looked ''girly and just ridiculus, plus its about a fashion mag!'' has turned a new leaf and has started to enjoy the programme - might have something to do half naked models on show? I thooughly enjoy the sory of her life and I think she is a very... more

Ahhh my favourite sunday duvet day watch! I find watching the ugly betty programmes soothing and easy to watch if you've had a long stressful week at work. Even the over the top style of character on this programme are a little far fetched i is still easy o relate different people in you office to the characters in the programme making it relatable and almost personal and therefore more enjoyable. Premium Review The Crazy Life Of The Not So Ugly, Ugly Betty (722 words)

I hate to admit that I schedule most of my evenings around TV, but there are few programs I actually plan to watch because I actually enjoy them. Ugly Betty is one of the few, and I think many people would share that opinion because it seems to be a very popular program. Ugly Betty is an American comedy-drama, with a lot of advertising and press behind it. Since it first aired in the UK, it seems to have attracted a host of fans. The show doesn't just appeal to fashion fanatics or those who consider themselves to be an Ugly Betty, and its original style has won it a broad audience. The program is shown on Channel 4 at 10pm, but there are also ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ugly Betty: Absurd, ridiculous yet strangely compelling. (251 words)

The Ugly Betty phenomenom was shamelessly copied from a Argentinian daytime drama and transformed for the american audience into the truly absurd Ugly Betty. Set within the hallowed walls of Mode, the bitchiest hippest fashion magazine ever to grace the planet, Ugly Betty Suarez is a fish out of water. Sure shes got the brains and the drive and the determination but with blue braces, huge glasses, ridiculous hair (and a hairdresser for a sister) and less dress sense than someone who has been in a coma since 1960. She sticks out like a sore thumb. The plot lines are attrocious, Bettys ex-boyfriends even more so. The inhabitants of the Mode office are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not one to miss (226 words)

Ugly Betty, since its first episode, has appealed to me. It's a funny, sweet programme that can tug the heart strings as well as just be a little bit of fluff for a wednesday afternoon. Concept ******* Based on an Argentinian show, 'Betty Fea', the show is based around a budding journalist, Betty Suarez, who finds herself in the aggressive, superficial world of a fashion magazine. Turning up for her first day in a rather unfortunate poncho, you know at once that Betty is not going to fit in! Befriending her boss, Daniel, and Christina, a colleague, she battles through family troubles, copious work troubles and problems of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ugly Betty: excellent show (265 words)

Ugly betty is a fantastic programme. It is shown on channel 4 on Wednesday evenings. Its currently in its third series. I personally think the present series is the best! It follows a girl in New York who wants to be an editor. We follow her from looking for an assistants job in the first series were she gets a job at Mode publications working for Daniel on a fashion magazine. As each series develops we see there friendship grow and how each support each other and betty becomes nothing less than a shoulder to cry on as well as a friend and colleague they have a brilliant friendship like no other boss/colleague relationship. We see the struggles of her family and how she ...  Read the complete review
