Ugly Betty Reviews

Newest Review: ... off because she has told the truth or done the honourable thing. I have watched Ugly Betty from the beginning and think it's a great show. Its always a bit sickening when they do the moral bit towards the end, but there's a lot of shows like that and you just have to go with that bit. It can be very funny and Betty is a great character, who, even with pressure from every angle, refuses to change who she is for the people around her. They have covered a lot of different topics throughout all of the series including the immigration of Betty's father, single parent living with Betty's sister and love triangles with Betty and her boyfriend. Ugly Betty is about a girl who wears braces and glasses, has frizzy hair and has no fashion sense. But when she gets a job working at Mode magazine, everyone at the magazine is just as surprised at she is. She becomes good friends with her boss, Daniel, but two other workers at Mode, Amanda, a self-centred beauty queen, and Mark, a gay self-centred beauty queen, never stop taking the mickey out of Betty's hideous fashion sense and lack of make-up and styled hair. Ahhh my favourite sunday duvet day watch! I find watching the ugly betty programmes soothing and easy to watch if you've had a long stressful week at work. Even the over the top style of character on this programme are a little far fetched i is still easy o relate different people in you office to the characters in the programme making it relatable and almost personal and therefore more enjoyable. The mind of betty is fantastic she knows she's not pretty but really stands her moral ground through the different series. The mix of characters is hilarious and even my boyfriend who judged a book by its cover commenting that it looked ''girly and just ... Read the complete review

I hate to admit that I schedule most of my evenings around TV, but there are few programs I actually plan to watch because I actually enjoy them. Ugly Betty is one of the few, and I think many people would share that opinion because it seems to be a very popular program. Ugly Betty is an American comedy-drama, with a lot of advertising and press behind it. Since it first aired in the UK, it seems to have attracted a host of fans. The show doesn't just appeal to fashion fanatics or those who consider themselves to be an Ugly Betty, and its original style has won it a broad audience. The program is shown on Channel 4 at 10pm, but there are also ... Read the complete review
