WHAT IS IT ABOUT: The Vicar of Dibley is a British sit-com starring Dawn French who plays Geraldine Granger, a female vicar in the town of Dibley. Whilst a female vicar is an oddity in the local area, the biggest oddity comes in the backwards and bizarre members of the community. The show revolves around her interactions with these odd characters, the occasional love story, and Grainger's love of chocolate. IS IT ANY GOOD: Like Father Ted, here's another comedy focused on the Church, but this one is a lot tamer. Dibley is a very accessible comedy show, one for the whole family. It contains nothing too daring or risque, but a good mix of family fun ... Read the complete review

The Vicar Of Dibley is by far, in my opinion, the best British sitcom EVER! It aired from 1994-2007 although many people are hoping for the lovable, hilarious characters to return to our screens. The television show was written by Richard Curtis, who when he was writing it had Dawn French in mind for the leading role; The Vicar Geraldine Granger. It was broadcast on BBC1. The Vicar Of Dibley is set in a small, fictional Oxfordshire village (Dibley) The main characters are: Geraldine Granger (Dawn French)- The hilariously funny, chocoholic, lady vicar in the village of Dibley. David Horton (Gary Waldhorn)- The grumpy guy that everybody ... Read the complete review
