Every now and then television throws up with a gem of a programme. It's something the BBC has always been so good at; remember all those Sunday evenings with Elizabeth Bennet and Mr D'Arcy? or going back even further with Pip and Miss Havisham in Great Expectations? They've been a little thin on the ground recently and I was beginning to think along the lines of "they don't make them like that anymore". But my faith has been restored.
