WaybulooNewest Review: ... it so therefore they go in search for more bananas when the Cheebies arrive which teaches the children how to share. Ever since watching Waybuloo, my daughter does seem to have got a lot better at sharing her toys with her cousin so hopefully this is helping her understand the importance of such things as sharing - I like to think so anyway! After about ten minutes, the Cheebies arrive (the children) and play games such as hide and seek (Peeka) with the Piplings which involves a lot of fun and laughter not only in the programme but from my daughter who is excitedly watching it. After this, the Yogo wheel, which is rather like a sundial, pla... more |

CBeebies - Waybuloo Welcome to Nara I try to limit the programmes my daughter watches and am a self-confessed picky mummy when it comes to what programmes I allow my daughter to watch, though sometimes I am very grateful for children's channels such as CBeebies, which is produced by the BBC, as it really aids me when I need to get on with some housework! Although Waybuloo is played at certain times of the day, my daughter generally watches this in the 'Bedtime Hour' as a way of beginning to settle down for the night - and it actually does help calm her down. ********************** WELCOME TO ... ~~~ INTRODUCTION ~~~ I have a 19 month old son called Thomas and every night at six o'clock we all sit down together to watch the Cbeebies "Bedtime Hour". Thomas is a very energetic little boy during the day but by the time the "Bedtime Hour" has started he has had his bath, is ready for bed and enjoys a cup of warm milk and a biscuit. It is the time of day when he genuinely chills out too and much of that has to do with the fact that the TV shows selected by Cbeebies are gentle and calming ... he doesn't really watch TV during the day either so by the time the Bedtime Hour arrives he appreciates it and enjoys the shows, stories and songs. ... Waybuloo is a fairly new show thats started on Cbeebies, it comes on a 6pm nightly which kicks off bedtime hour, which is designed to help kids wind down before bedtime, my son loves it and it really works. Waybuloo is a place which is home to cute little, colourful characters called Deli, Yojojo, LauLau and NokTok. They float around in the air most of the time to calming music in what seems to be a big kind of garden. When the come down from air is usually to interact with the 'geebees' which are children to me and you. They hide from the children and play lots of different games like hide n seek and hide n seek. They tend to play that quiet ... Read the complete review

Waybuloo is the start to the CBeebies bedtime hour - a nice signal for my daughter to wind down and me to look forward to a nice peaceful evening (I live in hope). The opening titles of this alone are enough to make my baby stop in her tracks, she once stopped crying mid yell when she heard and saw this so I do believe it is a magic programme. 20 minutes of floaty coloured creatures interacting with hyperactive children keeps her quiet until bathtime. For me as an adult it is beyond tedious however. I love watching In the Night Garden with my daughter and some of her other shows, but when this is in I have to ensure I have a magazine or other ... Waybuloo is a fairly new programme from Cbeebies, and has been on regularly for the last few months. My daughter is nearly three, and she really loves this programme. Waybuloo is set in the magical land of Nara, where the Piplings live. They are four animated creatures, with big eyes, and animal like features. They are called DeLi, Yojojo, LauLau and NokTok. The CGI action also features real children, called 'Cheebies'. The main themes of Waybuloo seem to be about emotions, sharing, cooperation, friendship, enjoyment and happiness. These are good values to teach children, especially at the toddler age, which can be very egotistical. During each programme, the ... Read the complete review
