This is a quiz show that I do watch now and again although I must admit it is not compulsive viewing.

Hosted by Anne Robinson who thanks to the assistance of plastic surgery and botox manages to look younger with each passing series.

The format of the show is a general knowledge quiz set over a number of rounds with ten contestants answering questions in order, each correct answer results in the money pot rising however an incorrect answer wipes away any money earned unless the person whose turn it is opts to bank the funds before answering their question.

At the end of the round each contestant must vote off one of the others who they believe is the weakest link in the show, the one with the most votes leaves and then the next round starts until finally there are only two contestants left who then eneter a final round where they get alternate questions to answer and it is a best of five format, the winner gets to keep all of the banked money and the loser gets nothing.

There is a certain amount of entertainment value in this show, Robinson is quite rude to the contestants highlighting any personal faults they may have as well as the questions they get wrong and also sometimes questioning their choices particularly in the later rounds when tactics play a part and sometimes the strongest player gets eliminated rather than the worst as people try to make sure they survive.

The main highlight does come in the banter between the contestants and Robinson especially when they answer her back. The questions are not that challenging although they do get harder as the game progresses.

Occasionally they will have a theme show with celebrities and quite the funniets one when a group of transvestites were on and they certainly gave as good as they got in the catty comments department.

The show is on BB2 most weeknights from 5.30 to 6.00 and is worth having a look if you have nothing better to do.
