Advantages: its on when I'm having my tea

Disadvantages: repetitive and irritiating music

I can't help but feel this show would be much better in America. The self-depreciating British tend to react with a shrug and wave to the camera when they are booted out of the running, the Yanks would need to be dragged off the set kicking and screaming and demanding a recount.
Without razor-tongued Anne Robinson this show would be one to miss, but its worth watching for her acerbic comments of dismal, hopeless, pathetic and the oft repeated "Someone is letting you down, BADLY".
I've watched a dozen or so shows now, and its great to see the women gang up on the men, or the dimwits vote off the smartest. Prize money can reach the heady sum of £10000 but has rarely reached much more than £2000. The questions are on the cusp of difficult, you need a good knowledge of sport, politics, geography and literature to be the stongest link, although there is the oddball TV soap or mathematical sum to solve.

I thought Anne Robinson was about to EXPLODE when the contestants banked no money at all in one round.
