Advantages: Questions
Disadvantages: Hostess, Repetitiveness
For those of you who do not know The Weakest Link is a games show where they start off with around ten contestants and on each round they are asked questions which enable them to get up to £1000. After each round they vote someone off even if they were not the weakest link. The weakest link being the person who gets the least questions right. So when the hostess, Ann Robinson sees who the weakest link is she says: (name) you are the weakest link, goodbye! In a very abrupt voice. Which after one time sounds amusing. Two, not so funny, and after nine I wanted to cause her bodily harm I am ashamed to say. This happens every show so when you have seen it more than once the phrase, I find, gets on your nerves. The only interesting bit, which I stated in my advantages, are the questions. Simply because they get you thinking and wondering what the answer is. But this is of course the same with any games show so that is not really a specific advantage to this games show. However, now she has been asked to do this in America I think Ann may well soon be losing her touch. You see she makes cocky jokes about the contestants and their jobs and everything about them. But in America the contestants are more bold and they answer back and sometimes even beat her at arguing which is extremely amusing. So, is Ann losing her touch? The show is also extremely repetitive. First they have eight rounds of exactly the same then there are two rounds which are completely different. The show is also unfair to the clever people. Quite recently there was a man who got every single question right. Then just before the last round he got voted off because the other two contestants left did not have the guts to face him! Apart from the questions I would not recommend this show to anyone, so please, take my advice and do not watch it!

- 01/03/02 good op, however just one thing i don't agree with: it is part of the game to vote off a player and it is strategy when voting the best one :)

Anne is the making of the show though - I can't imagine anyone else doing it!
