Advantages: none - just another game show and not as good as most

Disadvantages: you could watch something far more interesting instead

I have seen this twice, but I didn't think that it was anything particularly spectacular. It was a very fast moving game show, hosted by Anne Robinson (the rudest link!) The contestants take turns in answering questions in a series of rounds, the idea is that each individual in the team has to get the questions right and "bank" as much money for the team as possible. At the end of every round their team members weigh up who answered the least questions correctly and/or who didn't bank the money and they take a vote on who they think the weakest link is. The person who gets the most votes has to leave, this goes on over several rounds until there is only one contestant left who goes home with all the money! This struck me as a faster version of Big Brother with one contestant leaving every few minutes instead of every week! I felt sorry for some of the contestants when they were voted out as the weakest link, when infact they were clearly not. It really didn't seem very fair because it was all so arbitary and some contestants are clearly banding together to vote someone out to save themselves. I thought that it must be humiliating to be voted out by all your team mates for being "useless" on national T.V. I also didn't like Anne Robinson's cold-hearted way of hosting this, she seems so rude towards contestants when they have to leave due to being voted out, she certainly doesn't soften the blow and uses none of the nice stuff employed by other game show hosts!
They also show clips where the people voted out get their say about how they felt when they were voted out which can be highly entertaining (sour grapes).
I'm afraid that I didn't really enjoy this, if I happened to stumble over it again, I might watch it, but I wouldn't make a special effort to do so.
