Wheel of Fortune

The guys were always supported by a glamourous looking woman who got to turn the letters around on the board when they were guessed right, a sort of Carol Vorderman without the need for brains. The game itself was sort of like hangman in the sense that the contestants ultimately had to guess a word of phrase that was on a board by first guessing the letters in it. Initially they got to spin a giant wheel which had various money amounts on it as well as a few other prompts lik... more

Over the years Wheel of Fortune had a number of different hosts and the quality of these sort of mirrored the amount of prize money available, as the game how moved from prime time evening slots to the viewing dessert that is day time TV so the amount of prize money available declined and you could argue so did the quality of the presenter however Bradley Walsh did make a good job of the whole thing as I like his cheeky style. I remember sitting at home as little girl and watching Wheel of Fortune at night with my family, i completely loved it and still watch it where it can be found on Challenge TV which is on most peoples Sky packages. If you have never heard of Wheel of Fortune, it is a television game show which originated in America. It started out in the 80s and was on our UK tv screens until as recent as 2001. The announcer and man who did all of the voiceovers was Steve Hamilton. The show itself was hosted by Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh, John Leslie and then Paul Hendy. I think my favourite host was definitely John Leslie as he always seemed to come ...  Read the complete review

Wheel Of Fortune is a game show which has been shown in several countries and the version I am reviewing is the UK version. Wheel Of Fortune was a game show which ran from 1988 - 2001 with a variety of hosts & co-hosts including John Leslie, Bradley Walsh, Jenny Powell & Carol Smilie and throughout the years it has been announced by Steve Hamilton. There are three players playing the Wheel Of Fortune and at the start of each round a general knowledge question is asked. The person who answers the question correctly first (by buzzing in) will be able to start the spin of the wheel of fortune. The wheel has many different point amounts on it ...  Read the complete review

Wheel Of Fortune is a gameshow that originated in America in the 1970s, but has aired over here in the UK since the late 1980s. It consists of three contestants who spin a large flat wheel. When it stops, they win the amount of points indicated on the section next to their marker. At the end of the game, the person with the most points gets the chance to win a cash prize or a car. Along the way, they must solve word puzzles much like Hangman, where you have to guess a letter. If you guess right, you get to reveal the letter in the word(s), and spin again. If you think you know what the word or phrase is, you can guess, but get it wrong and you lose your turn. If you ...  Read the complete review
