when Louis met.... is a BBC2 show presented by Loius Theroux, Louis is famous for his weird weekends and previous to that for writing for the Tatler, he's also the son of Paul Theroux whose a famous author. Louis is a tallish, skinny, 30ish glasses wearing documentary maker who tends to go and meet some very dubious groups, tries to understand them and get to see their view on the world. His weird weekend shows are some of the best around and cover a wide range of interests, nearly all are set in America. This series is made up of a number of self contained shows which have Louis Thereoux meeting different celebrities and in another series he has gone out and about to meet extreme groups and those at the edges of what is deemed normal society. In this particular series the emphasis was on minor celebrities or rather those who were once quite famous but have slipped somewhat in the fame stakes over recen times. If you haven't seen Louis Theroux before, I think you're missing out. The young reporter conducts interviews with some of the biggest names around, not those you might think, but they lead to extremely interesting viewing... Louis Theroux has been making programmes for about 3 years now and has interviewed big names such as Anne Widdecome, Paul Daniels and, most famously, Jimmy Savile. "big wow!"
