Advantages: Humour, Frank Report
Disadvantages: Not on often enough!
If you haven't seen Louis Theroux before, I think you're missing out. The young reporter conducts interviews with some of the biggest names around, not those you might think, but they lead to extremely interesting viewing... Louis Theroux has been making programmes for about 3 years now and has interviewed big names such as Anne Widdecome, Paul Daniels and, most famously, Jimmy Savile. "big wow!" I hear you thinking, but it's more than it seems. Theroux sets out to ask the questions we always wanted to, but never could. I mean, how many times have you wondered where Anne gets her image from, or what Daniels and McGee get up to in the bedroom? Exactly. Shown on BBC television, each series seems to have a different set time, but the best shows are those that last usually 90 mins, and are with the biggest stars. They are highly publicised on TV and well worth watching. The thing about Louis seems to be that he is not afraid of anything. He always participated in the programme, and builds up a rappor and trust with his subjects. Not concerned about his image, this is what makes the programme so fascinating. Theroux doesn't claim to be the most intelligent or good looking journalist, but he certainly gets results. Every programme contains humour, tears and joy. Millions of viewers can't be wrong...

- 13/05/02 I had a thing about Louis for ages, just when I got over it he became single (like I would have had a chance!) He has a brother too, equally as hilarious but not as attractive. ;) |
