The FBI joins forces with a criminal

Advantages: Banter, drama
Disadvantages: Not on a major TV Channel
I've recently started watching White Collar after I became a fan of Tiffani Thiessen's again through watching Fastlane and I was glad to hear that I could now watch her in a new show. What I found though was not just liking one actress but liking the whole show.
The plot focuses on the pairing of con-artist Neal Caffery who was arrested and jailed for art forgery. Through a series of mis-adventures Caffery ends up getting paired with FBI Agent Peter Burke who works in NYC's White Collar division. Together they become responsible for solving somewhat low level crime (but crime that's above the station of the NYPD) in New York.
As the story arc develops we learn more of Neal's past, his history with Kate Moreau becomes more developed and causes problems for his pairing with Burke and provides some of the conflict between the two.
It's the pairing though that makes the show work. The fact that they come from different view points makes it a unique pairing which I don't think I've seen in another TV show. The banter between Burke and Neal works well and the actors pull it off in a way that makes it look seamless and not over the top at all.
When I originally watched the pilot though I did turn off and admittedly didn't go back to it until I realised that Thiessen was in it. Now though I'm hooked and have just watched the season 2 opener this morning and the drama is being sustained very well.
I won't give too much of the plot away so that you can enjoy it for yourself but if you like crime dramas with some comedy thrown in then this show might be for you.
It's produced by the network USA which is a cable network in America so it's not like Fox for example and seem to develop their shows more which hopefully good things will happen for this show.
Neal Caffery - Matt Bomer: He's great at the banter and drama alike
Peter Burke - Tim DeKay : A good actor, and appeals to women who dream of the 'ideal' husband
Elizabeth Burke - Tiffanni Thiessen : She's the reason why I tuned into the show, she's not in it enough for my liking but is a good pairing with Burke and Caffery and it's nice to see her as a supporting wife given what her husband does for a living!
Mozzie - Will Garson : Mozzie is a friend of Neal's and a con-man. He provides a lot of comic relief I think.
Run time (without ads) is usually 50 minutes or so.
This show apparently airs on Bravo in the UK which is a shame as not everyone has the channel, you might be best getting the Boxset if you're interested.
Overall, it's a great show if you like this type of show, even if you don't you mind find yourself giggling at the humour none the less.
Summary: Great crime procedural drama!
