Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, is a quiz show with a difference, as the answers are actually given in a selection of four possibilities.
The programme begins with ten contestants, who have won the right to be there , after answering questions, via a phone in quiz the number to call is always shown during the show and if you are lucky enough to get through and gain an audition, then your chance to become a millionaire could become a reality.
Chris Tarrant hosts the show, which begins with "fastest finger" this gives the contestant with the quickest response and correct answer, the opportunity to "get rich quick,"
The questions are worth amounts, beginning at £500 doubling up and eventually finishing at £1 MILLION POUNDS.
There are lifelines there to help you, consisting of , ask the audience, this option gives a percentage of opinion for a particular question from a range of four possible answers, one of the answers wil be the right one. another lifeline is 50/50 where two answers will remain, one right one wrong ,then theres is a third option of "call a friend" who may or may not have the answer, often the friend can be timed out without a result. of course the lucky person in the hot seat can also choose to take what they have won after they have looked at a question and decided it may be too risky to chance a guess.
Its always easy for those of us sitting at home shouting answers at the telly, but as the contestants often remark its altogether different being there,
In my opinion its good television,especially when Chris Tarrant goes to a break at a crucial part of the show, and keeps you hanging on. Well worth a look, why not give it a try?
