Advantages: loadsamoney
Disadvantages: one question wrong and kiss goodbye to thousands
This has got to be the best quiz show ever. The whole format is a winner. The idea of losing so much money for answering a question wrong is frightening. Chris Tarrant to me is worse than Anne (the weakest link) Robinson, he is great at getting people thinking whether they have given the right answer, then just when you think that he's going to tell you he announces(I'll tell you after the break). If that's not evil I don't know what is. This show should go for years as long as they don't change anything. On a different note in the papers recently some people have been saying that the million pound winner was a fix, I don't think so, but if it was what a way to renew interest in what was already a great and much watched programme.

- 17/12/00 Good review for those who have seen it before, but the reason I have given it an SU is because you said absolutely nothing about the show so if I hadn't seen it before and was turning to your review for a bit of info I'd be no better off, sorry.
BTW, I think it is stupid how they expect us to believe the friends they ring are actually unawares, have you noticed it is the same ring tone every time and they always answer after the same amount of time, they are obviously in the studio somewhere as if you could ring a friend at home you could just get them to have an encyclopedia ready (a few of them) and just buy time while the question is on with ums and ahhs before you decide to ring them while your mates look it up. |

- 30/11/00 The show is OK, but I would prefer Anne Robinson to host it rather than Chris Tarrant. Cheers! |
