Advantages: Original programme

Disadvantages: Losing its magic

When this show first came out, I must admit that I was a big fan of it. The atmosphere was tense and electric and I enjoyed seeing the contestants put through their paces by Chris Tarrant as well as screaming the answers at the screen. Great, I thought, finally a game show that isn't exactly the same as every other one.

For the first year or so I tuned in most nights that I wasn't going out. Just lately though, I do not find the show so appealing, as there is only so much tension you can take before the effect wears of. I must admit that I found the couples programmes extremely disappointed, as there didn't seem to be much of the conflict and tension that Mr Tarrant promised us before hand. I think the vast majority of viewers feel the same way as me, resulting in a frequency slip from everynight to the odd night a week.

Saying that, tonights epidose will be well worth a look as according to the papers, a second person has won the maximum of a million pounds! But apart from that, this programme is no longer too much to cancel your evening plans over!
