Wife Swap as the name suggests, is a show about two families who agree to swap lives for two weeks. These families are normally totally the opposite of each other and this is what makes the show so watchable.

During the first week, the wives have to live the life of the woman they swapped with, this means obeying house rules, going to the same work place and generally copying the other wife to get a slice of their lifestyle. This usually doesn't go down well and is great TV once the arguments and disagreements start.

At the start of the second week, the wife then writes a set of new rules for the husband and children to obey, this is when the wife tries to make their lives the same as it would be or similar to that at their own home. This is my favourite part of the show as it's entertaining to see their reactions to what has to change etc.

After the two weeks are up, they swap back and meet up altogether to talk about the experience, this is usually when any positive changes are mentioned and to see if any advice has been taken from the other wife. More often than not, a few suggestions are took in to place and are usually positive towards all family members.

This show is shown on channel 4 weekly, currently on a Sunday at 8pm. The USA also has its own version, though im sure at the start of their programme it says that some things have been added in to provide great TV moments i.e its fake. Im pretty sure the UK version is real however. Another version of this show is celebrity wife swap, though Ive only seen it a couple of times, the celebs aren't usually that well know and its generally not as interesting as the official show.

So if you are bored one day and fancy watching some tat on TV, give this a go and see how you like it, hey, you may even want to apply :p
