Wife Swap is aired on Channel 4 at 11pm on Monday nights, just after Big Brother, which if you are anything like me, you can't help but watch it and always watch Wife Swap once it has finished.
Wife Swap is based on two different families, the team who create the show must take a good look at each family before they pair them off as they are normally like chalk and cheese, one normally from an class where money isn't really a problem and not an object and the other where they work as hard as they can to survive or may not even owrk at all, you can probably imagine if you have never seen it. The wives of each family then swap for one week.
When the wives arrive at their new homes, normally the house is empty and they have the opportunity to walk around and read the rules of their household that have been provided by the other wives. For the first half of the week, the wives have to abide by the real wives rules even though if they are not happy with the way that they live, for instance in one epiosde there was a mum that fed her baby daughter crisps for breakfast, however the other wive felt so strong about this she had to go against the rules and feed the child something healthy.
Once a week has passed the tables are turned and the wives are then allowed to implement their own rules and make the other family live they way that they would prefer and do what they would do.
In just a weeks time, you do find that the wives and the family that she has been placed with more often than not on quite a few occasions don't see eye to eye, purely because adapting to a different way of life isn't as easy as some peole may think it is.
At the end of the programme, both families meet and have the opportunity to discuss and share ideas of how each family can improve their lives, for example if they do not spend enough time with each. Even thoug they are criticising their way of life, in most cases bothfamilies see that the other family can help them to improve their own life. If they want to they can now implement changes into lives for the better.
I think its a great programme, it gives people the opportunity to see where they are going wrong and people not necessarily from the same class of you can help you to live you life the best way possible.
