Advantages: A Tennis addicts delight.

Disadvantages: 2 weeks of hell if you hate Tennis

The annual fortnight that the BBC spends at wimbledon is for me, worth the licence fee alone. From the second I here the theme tune and watch the opening titles I just know that for the next 2 weeks nothing will get done around the house and I will be glued to the TV. The coverage is excellent and spans both BBC1 and BBC2 with evening and morning highlight shows. If a good match is over running other shows are postponed or cancelled, even the News. The commentory is knowledgeable and a joy to listen to, and even when it rains the old matches that are shown are still very entertaining.Post match interviews get you into the minds of the players, shots of the spectators enjoying themselves give you a feel of actually being there.
