I was always a big fan of Touching Evil which Robson Green also starred in and therefore needed to watch this latest offering. I was surprised to see that some of the critics were a little frosty on this show but not to be perturbed decided to watch it for myself. This show is like Touching Evil on some levels. The basic premise of the show surrounds serial killers who seem to target their victims in a sense which is unfathomable to the conventional detectives. Therefore they enlist the help of Tony (Robson Green) to help them understand the psychology of the killer, understand why he is perpetrating these acts, who his targets are and how to catch the killer ... This is an ITV drama based on the books of the same title by Val Mcdermid. The central character in this show is Dr Tony Hill (played by Robson Green), a clinical psychiatrist who helps Bradfield police as a criminal profiler. Dr Tony Hill excels at his job and has an amazing insight into people's minds and uses this ability to be able to predict the characteristics of the criminal and what their next moves will be. This show does not feature just "ordinary" crimes but often crimes of a deeply dark and sadistically creative nature. Dr Tony Hill himself is a very eccentric character who is fascinating to watch and sometimes will make you ... Read the complete review

Wire in the Blood is a television series based on characters from the books of celebrated crime writer Val McDermid. In total there have been six series to date each of which is constructed of 4 episodes(except series 1 which has just 3.) It falls into the crime/drama genre but is relatively unique as it centres on a clinical psychologist rather than police officers, criminals or forensic scientists. It is set in the fictional town of Bradfield(which I always imagine to be a cross of Bradford and Wakefield) which has an alarming number of serial killers on it's street. Dr Tony Hill(Robson Green) plays the criminal psychologist in question whose ... Read the complete review

I remember this show well. It used to be on on thursdays, and the next day I would go to my maths class and chat to my friend who also loved about what went on. The series is about a forensic psychologist who uses a variety of methods to catch often bizzare murderes. A noteable episode had a tranvestite murderer, who caught the investigator and nearly put a large drill up his backside! This kind of crazy story line is more than enough to keep you interested. The forensic psychologist also has other team members who you grow attached to, and we get a look into their personal lives too. The psychologist seems to have a few problems of his own, and ... Wire In The Blood is a series of dark and disturbing thrillers, aired on the ITV channels and based on the series of books featuring Dr Tony Hill, written by best selling thriller author Val McDermid. They have aired since 2002, and have featured adaptations of McDermid's books featuring Hill, as well as further episodes. There have currently been 25 episodes aired. The episodes tend to involve some dark and distburbing, simply because Tony Hill is a psychologist used byh the police to get into the minds of killers. He is essentially a profiler, and through his endeavours, the police get closer to their mark. Robson Green plays Hill, and I feel his portrayal ... Read the complete review
