WWF Pay Per Views

Newest Review: ... knackered after only two minutes of ring action. Surely some other wrestlers could have taken their places. This feud has been going on for months, and months, and months. And the best moment was when Steiner attempted to attack Test and slipped off the apron. Test used to be a talented performer but he is slowly losing it with every bad match and feud he has. He is becoming the Billy Gunn ... more

Premium Review WWF Pay Per Views: WWE Unforgiven 2003 (1767 words)

The writers of RAW must be a chromosome short or something. You would have thought that after the disaster that was Bad Blood that they would have done something to drag the level up a bit. So what did they do? Did they watch Smackdown's pay-per-view and learn something? No. Did they sit around for hours trying to think of a way to make a successful pay-per-view? Obviously not. What they did was put on a worse showing then Badd Blood, if that is possible. It is without doubt the worst pay-per-view I have ever seen and I have been watching professional wrestling since the late 80's! Well with that little rant out of the way let us get on with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWF No Way Out 2002 (806 words)

OK- this review contains spoilers so if you, for any reason, have not seen this event yet, dont read this:) Now normally on WWF events we have to sit through a 3 minute music video, but No Way Out really caught me off-guard as it kicked off with the short graphic and the pyro went off straight away. Now imagine my suprise when the nWo came out straight away to a huge ovation from the crowd! They struck all their trademark poses before Kevin Nash took the mic and talked about how they were being portrayed unfairly as a poison and that hurt their feelings- funny stuff. Scott Hall then took the mic with his trademark "Hey Yo" ...  Read the complete review

The Royal Rumble, known to some as the greatest PPV of all 12 of them! Last year, channel 4 hosted the Royal Rumble. This year, channel 4 seem to think that the World Wrestling Federation is out of date, boring, and down right stupid! So they didn't want to host a great event. Despite the fact that it would have pulled in many ratings for the channel! Channel 5 were interested in hosting the great show. They tried many times to win the Royal Rumble contract. However, Sky, who originally didn't seem interested in the show, did what they do best, and beat each other channel to it! Sadly, they think that if such a ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Royal Rumble 2002 On Sky Box Office For £14- My Thoughts (1528 words)

For anyone that has read my previous wrestling-related opinion, you will know that I've been a long-time follower of the World Wrestling Federation and it's events. Now, for those of you that have read that opinion and those that haven't (or those of you whom perhaps familiar with the WWF) I will quickly explain something about the WWF's 'Extravaganza's' or 'Pay-Per-Views' as they are known to our American friends. Up until the middle of the 1990's, the WWF used to run five 'big' events, which were given big build-ups throughout their weekly shows that would lead up to them. These events were: The Royal ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WWF Pay Per Views: WWF No Mercy Background, theories and Predictions (2534 words)

For those of you who follow wrestling you will understand everything I mention in this opinion, however for the readers who are not into sports entertainment I will have to give you some background information. Tonight, Sunday 21st October between 1 AM and 4 AM UK time, so I guess you could say it is on Monday, there is a pay-per-view WWF wrestling event called No Mercy. Despite the fact that it is called a Pay-Per-View, and the fact that Americans have to pay to watch it, No Mercy can be seen for free on Sky Sports 1. There will also be an encore presentation on Sky Sports 1 later in the week. The show will be introduced and covered by the two leading ...  Read the complete review
