Advantages: Great storylines and talent. Lots of historic moments.

Disadvantages: No good for non-wrestling fans

WWE first launched Monday Night Raw in 1993 and it has now taken over as the number 1 sports show on a Monday night in the USA, even beating American Football. Raw started out as a taped show in a single small arena, used every week, but has now gone through a series of network changed, a battle of Monday night supremacy with rival show Monday Night Nitro from WCW and numerous other obstacles to reign supreme on the wrestling circuit. WWE is split into 3 brands, but there is no doubt that Raw is Mr McMahon's baby, his creation and his flagship show. The Monday night wars in the 1990's saw Raw fend off Ted Turner's WCW Nitro by using Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock in feuds with the owner Vince to create huge interest. Vince then went on to buy WCW and took the top talent to Raw. The show continues to go from strength to strength and, although some top stars have joined the Smackdown brand like HHH and Jeff Hardy, the main show remains Raw and the current angle with Vince and Orton, along with the HBK and JBL economy driven storyline, Raw still leads the way.
