WWE SmackdownNewest Review: ... and Rey Mysterio who are the top stars of this show. The WWE recently made champions out of Jeff Hardy and CM Punk who had both never been champions before! This was done because they had less superstars on the show! Why could they just not bring in John Cena to Smackdown or Triple H! I fear Smackdown is going to go down and is already losing out in the UK to its rival TNA Impact. When ... more |

When I was a younger lad this show was something that was simply unmissable to me. These days after watching the show for the last month to me its a " waste of time". Smackdown has no longer got the entertainment factor it did many years ago. All the WWE's main superstars wrestle on the RAW brand expect for Batista, The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio who are the top stars of this show. The WWE recently made champions out of Jeff Hardy and CM Punk who had both never been champions before! This was done because they had less superstars on the show! wwe friday night smackdown is really exciting and i enjoy watching it.there are always good fans and the matches are great. my favorite person on wwe smackdown is cm punk. he is really good he has good legs, he can kick and he is well known for his go to sleep move which is usually an instant win. jeff hardy is really good he is high flying and not afraid of anyone or any heights. rey mysterio is short but he is so fast when he does the 6 1 9. the undertaker is like the best wrestler period. he brings fear to the enemy and is a scary and big person to go up against. now they have r truth who used to be in jail is actually a really good fighter. alot of there roster ... For the past few years, Smackdown has been a bigger 'wrestling' show than Raw. The matches are longer, the inbetween segments are kept to more of a minimum and you have Jim Ross calling the matches which means that the whole show has more of a sports show feel (and you don't have Michael Cole shouting about the 'WWE Universe' every 5 minutes). Despite Raw being given more attention and press than Smackdown, most would say The Rocks creation is a better overal product. Edge as its World Champion is a real plus for them, as he is probably the best heel in the business right now. With stars such as Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk in the top upper echeleon of the ... Read the complete review

Whilst there can be no doubt that WWE owner Vince McMahon, and the majority of fans, consider WWE Monday Night Raw to be the main show in the company, there can also be no doubt that WWE Smackdown is catching up fast. The big difference between the shows used to be the talent roster, but with the new arrivals that have come over to Smackdown from Raw including HHH, Jeff Hardy and Edge, Smackdown no longer suffers on that score. Now, the only difference that matters between the two brands is simply down to the fact that Raw is live and Smackdown is taped, to air in the UK on Friday nights. Taped shows just don't capture that intensity of live shows and are quite clearly ... Read the complete review

Continuing with my series on WWE reviews, I have decided to write the final review on the company that provided my childhood with a lot of violence, blood and gore. This review is different from that of my RAW and WWE reviews as I feel that this show is the downside of the WWE. Smackdown was created in 1999 and was another show for the pro-wrestlers that were employed by the WWE to perform on. With this programme, the WWE managed to squeeze its competitors out of the market because the show, as with RAW, contained a new glitzy and glamorous way of producing wrestling events. Also, Smackdown ensures that more of the superstars that were employed had the ... Read the complete review
