Advantages: Great action and fantastic aerial fights with the top stars.

Disadvantages: Not as good as Raw and is not live.

Whilst there can be no doubt that WWE owner Vince McMahon, and the majority of fans, consider WWE Monday Night Raw to be the main show in the company, there can also be no doubt that WWE Smackdown is catching up fast. The big difference between the shows used to be the talent roster, but with the new arrivals that have come over to Smackdown from Raw including HHH, Jeff Hardy and Edge, Smackdown no longer suffers on that score. Now, the only difference that matters between the two brands is simply down to the fact that Raw is live and Smackdown is taped, to air in the UK on Friday nights. Taped shows just don't capture that intensity of live shows and are quite clearly touched up afterwards to edit any errors that occur. True wrestling fans want to see the show as is, warts and all. The entertainment factor is huge on Smackdown and the current Jeff Hardy and Edge storyline is excellent with both men being huge talents and Jeff a deserving champion, at last.

Summary: The second best wrestling show on TV.
