When I was a younger lad this show was something that was simply unmissable to me. These days after watching the show for the last month to me its a " waste of time". Smackdown has no longer got the entertainment factor it did many years ago. All the WWE's main superstars wrestle on the RAW brand expect for Batista, The Undertaker and ... Read the complete review

wwe friday night smackdown is really exciting and i enjoy watching it.there are always good fans and the matches are great. my favorite person on wwe smackdown is cm punk. he is really good he has good legs, he can kick and he is well known for his go to sleep move which is usually an instant win. jeff hardy is really good he is high flying and ... For the past few years, Smackdown has been a bigger 'wrestling' show than Raw. The matches are longer, the inbetween segments are kept to more of a minimum and you have Jim Ross calling the matches which means that the whole show has more of a sports show feel (and you don't have Michael Cole shouting about the 'WWE Universe' every 5 ... I do not find Smackdown to be a good show any more compared to what it was years ago. WWE does not give a damn about this show as they have already put it second to Raw. How many superstars are on Smackdown? The answer to that is very few. WWE have only put the likes of the Undertaker on the show who has been the top name of years. ... Read the complete review

Whilst there can be no doubt that WWE owner Vince McMahon, and the majority of fans, consider WWE Monday Night Raw to be the main show in the company, there can also be no doubt that WWE Smackdown is catching up fast. The big difference between the shows used to be the talent roster, but with the new arrivals that have come over to Smackdown from ... Read the complete review

Continuing with my series on WWE reviews, I have decided to write the final review on the company that provided my childhood with a lot of violence, blood and gore. This review is different from that of my RAW and WWE reviews as I feel that this show is the downside of the WWE. Smackdown was created in 1999 and was another show for the ... Well I have never seen anything so crap in all my life until the other day when i turned my tv over to witness the phoniest wrestling i have ever seen! What is the point in smacking someone if you dont mean it, and some of the supposedly very clever moves are all acted out and you can most definatley see straight through them. ... I started to watch this programme after I got into wwf and I have to say that it is the best wwf show. It airs once a weeek from a different area of the USA each week, kind of like a travelling circus. It is the best show because there are always title matches and the top string wrestlers are always involved. The commentators are also ... Read the complete review

It's a strange thing to actually name a weekly show after a wrestlers slogan (the rock). They could have called it Bottom line etc. The show it's self is basically the same as RAW is WAR, but a different set and different matches. All of the main storyline and matches in the WWf occur on either RAW or Smackdown. This gets me annoyed ... Read the complete review

The wrestling industry experienced a boom in 1999. After 5 years of mediocrity, wrestling was once again the hot thing for teenagers across Britain and America. New anti-hero wrestlers such as "Stone Cold Steve Austin" and "The Rock" were becoming legitimate celebrities, appearing on talk shows, music shows and even a few ... Read the complete review

No doubt the hottest soap opera ever, wwf entertainment consists of mainly two shows each week and then a pay per view event about once a month - wwf smackdown is broadcast on thursday night in america but shown in the uk on a saturday night/morning on sky sports 1/sky one. The show will usually start with a character entering the ring ... Read the complete review

Since smackdown was launched I think that it has been parralel to Raw in entertainment terms. You seem to get the same sort of matches main events and the only real big difference is the commentry. You see it is a bit less entertaining than Raw listening to Michael cole rather than J.R. At the moment I have been enjoying smackdown very much but I ... Read the complete review

In my opinion, WWF Smackdown is a good show, it has all the top wrestlers, good storylines, and titles do change hads quite often unlike on Heat or Superstars, but I don't think Smackdown is as good as Raw and I don't think it even compares to the outstanding Pay-Per-View events (most of which are actually free to us Brits anyway). At Pay ... Read the complete review
