Advantages: Back on coursel
Disadvantages: The bald guy
I reckon the last series was just about dead on its feet with the concurrent theme of abduction and aliens dominating the episodes. But the new run for terrestrial on BBC2 9pm has been quite quirky and refreshing with a lot more humor and irony over the paranoid last three runs. The delicious Scully and me have one thing in common. We were both in Northampton for our 18th birthday as she was backpacking around Europe before drama school .She did six months at our theatre on the box office. Mulder though has only flown over my town when he was here for the London X-Files movie premier so that doesn’t count does it. Anyhow the current series is pretty good with a few more diverse topics like the excellent magician episode of the decapitations and the one about the guy that ate peoples brains. COOOOOL as Bart Simpson would say. I remember seeing the very first episode in America when I was travelling over there. You new that this was something different and special just by the opening spooky music They save a lot of money by filming in Canada and apparently only visit Washington DC once for the FBI building stuff have been to the building in DC and its pretty darn impressive. You can go on tours inside, and they take you to the real X-Files area, or so they say to the tourists. The security in there isn’t that hot suprisingly. I’m convinced that the heavy use of mobile phones in the show was responsible for the massive increse of usage in the mid 1990s making phones cool and hip. Heres to the resurrection of the Files.

- 29/06/01 Good but you only concentrated on the current series and not the show in general/over the years. |

- 07/03/01 I'm sure the security at the FBI building is a lot more impressive than it looks. |
