This is a BBC show that focuses on a bunch of spoilt teens and just turned adults that have been pampered and spoilt by their parents to the extent that they cannot and do not want to perform any task themselves. These people are spoilt to the bone, with no idea of how to keep things clean, and with no clue of how to manage money or its value. Young Dumb and Living off Mum is about a group of young people who have been spoilt all their lives and this is there chance to show their parents what they can do. The age range was from 17-25, with none of them being able to hold down a job for more than 5 minutes, with the eldest contestent being 25 having numerous amounts of jobs but not being able to hold one down. Believe it or not the 'contestants' (i use this term extremely loosely considering they are in fact, completing simple tasks one would expect and hope anyone to successfully complete) are fantastically entertaining and provide compelling viewing. The shows basic format consists of chucking a group of useless, lazy and sometimes infuriatingly annoying teenagers in a house. The viewer is them emerged in the madness that is, spoilt teenagers living on their own, managing money for the first time. I first saw young dumb and living of mum by accident when i was flicking through chanells. I kept it on not sure about how good it would be but by the end i was addicted, ever since ive been waiting and counting the days till the next episode! Basicly what its about is 8 spoilt and lazy teenagers live in a house together and have to do different jobs like one week it was to work in a farm. Then they have to cook for themselves. Once every 2 days the mums and dads decide to take someone out the house, because they have acted the worst and grew up the least. When I first heard of BBC show, 'Young Dumb and Living off Mum', I wasn't sure what to expect. It sounded a little like any other BBC3 show they shove on to fill a gap when they're running out of Little Britain repeats to show. Though it did sound quite interesting nonetheless so I decided to check it out. 'Plot': In a way, the show is a little like Big Brother.
