Advantages: There are other channels, It provides a convenient break in which to take a dump, Its only half an hour long

Disadvantages: Its Rubbish, Its cheap TV, My grandma likes it

Many moons ago there was a stonking program in the States called "Candid Camera" which involved entire film crews camping out in someone's dustbin for months on end and capturing some of the genuinely funny elements of every day life.

In comparison, todays offering is a complete load of old toilet. The "real life" content is almost nil and the stuff that is real just aint funny. My biggest objection is that we have a prime time slot turned over to the amature film makers who turn out rubbish week in / week out and someone at the TV company says "Yeah thats good enough for our audience cos they're idiots".

I want real programming back not this cobbled together rubbish that I'm constantly subjected to....
