Advantages: Occasionally funny..

Disadvantages: Tired format

There's only so many times you can laugh at somebody falling off a ladder and seriously hurting themselves (unless it was Jamie Oliver, perhaps).

But no, the 'hilarious' home-video show is still being churned out week after week.

The problem is, it still gets reasonable ratings and it's very CHEAP telly. ITV pay £250 for a clip and they can then show it as many times as they want - some of them have been going since it first started (1990!!). Imagine how much it must cost to make a new drama in comparison...

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it when it first came out. I laughed with the rest of us when the baby fell face first into their birthday cake or the groom vomited over his bride at the altar - but now the baby probably has kids of their own, and
the groom is on his fourth or fifth marriage.

But now surely it's time to give it a rest.

If not for the sake of the Saturday night TV schedule, then alteast for the hundreds of poor kids nationwide whose parents are praying they fall over for an 'easy' 250 quid!
